Started my Daily Dragon Diary!

…and this is the progress so far! This is a dragon grimoire intended to share publicly as my others I can barely share because the dragons tell me not to. That’s just how working with dragons goes.

I share my in depth personal practice with my grimoires on the Scalebound Secrets tier of my Patreon and mini daily updates in The Hatchling Clan Dragon Discord but also share video updates on my TikTok and Instagram stories! I’ve decided to do blog updates here as well on Tumblr with some notes about why this practice is so important to me and my dragons.

Ever since I was 3-5 years old I’ve been drawing dragons and journaling about them even if just gluing my favorite dragon pictures or stickers into a book or binder. Ever since I could remember this has been the best way for me to connect with them as visually seeing the dragons within the pages reminded me the dragons would always be there no matter what I was going through in life.

Before I knew the word Dragonkin I always felt like the dragons were my true family. Some people may choose to worship the dragons which is beautiful and I have too long ago but one thing has never changed: my dragon soul was always calling me home since I was a baby girl and I’m not the only one who has always felt like a dragon in their human skin.

The Draconic Path for me began in the Colorado Rockies and reservoir where I first encountered the dragons and this is where I began strengthening my bonds with them. I used to go camping in the Rockies all the time as a toddler and little kid before I moved to Hollywood California but the dragons never left me.

This daily dragon diary exercise is to share the joy of crafting with dragons and in honor of them as a way to better connect with them on The Draconic Path as well as document our dedication to them throughout our life’s journey.

It doesn’t have to be an art project like mine either. Simple journal entries are just as valuable to have over time to track our progress with the dragons and how we grow along the way.

Where I’m at in my life right now is complicated and terrifying. I am more in the broom closet now than I ever have been before. I hope by the end of this year I’ll be free to share my story with you and how I found myself forced to silence myself on what I truly with to share here online.

While I’ve been lost the dragons as always have found me and reminded me who I am. Here on Tumblr I’m able to be most myself as well as on Patreon and within The Hatchling Clan Dragon Discord.

Sometimes the dragons lead us into complicated situations so we can get ourselves out and become experienced enough to help others do the same. I’m excited where this journey will take me once I’m free again.

Until then the dragons have guided me to share my crafts with them through art and journaling to reconnect with them, remember who I am and share their magic still with the world until I’m able to be open and honest about what I’ve been through the past few years.

Hi, Azura~! Is it possible to communicate with Tigers as you would with Dragons? Is there a possible spirit realm for Tigers? Could Tiger magick be a thing? Thank you~!

I love this question so much! 😭 and absolutely the only limitation is your imagination! The tiger and dragon are also very powerful together symbolically and especially within ancient Chinese Taoist philosophy and Japan as well!

When it comes to Tiger Magick specifically I would begin by studying mythology of tigers from around the world and then go from there. Also study animal spirit work as well there is a wealth of information about spirit communication with tigers already there. Let your heart lead the way always within your craft! Something I haven’t seen talked about much is how it feels to separate from an entity that was your patron/matron.

The feeling I experienced was this hollow surrealness at first. I had been rolling the thought around for a while but when I finally began to cut the bond, it felt like blocking a close friend on social media. Each item I cleansed or threw away an item was like another communication platform being blocked.

It doesn’t feel good but deep down you know it’s an investment you need to make for yourself.

I’m always against extreme individualism but please remember to do what is right and healthy for you, even in spirituality. Even when you’ve been working with an ancestor or deity for a really long time, if you’ve noticed that they’ve begun to lead you astray, please don’t hesitate to thank them for what they’ve done then sever that tie.

We only for sure have this life.

We can talk about past and future lives all we want but we can only control the outcomes of this current one.

About Me

intro below the cut 💜

In honor of the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere, which happened just recently as I’m posting this, I wanted to make a new intro!

There’s been a lot of changes to my path too so I thought an update was needed lol

Hello, my name is Alex! I go by she/they pronouns and I’m 21!

I am primarily a dragon witch, however my path is flexible and ever flowing. Many of my current followers/mutuals found me when I identified as a demonolator and Leviathan devotee, however, recently my path has taken a turn and I have just recently dropped those labels. My short journey in these paths were useful while they lasted and I grew a lot, but there’s a feeling deep in my gut that has convinced me that my long term path is not correlated with those labels.

So as of right now, I work to develop my psychic abilities, my energy work, and my connection to my personal guardians and the dragons around me.

I have been a practicing witch since I was around 11/12 (so nine almost ten years now). Even then though, I continue to learn new things and go through trials and tribulations connected to my path. I love to work with crystals, tarot/oracle decks, dreams, and of course candles and herbs like many others. My goal is to be more familiar with the planets/astrology and to learn more about ancient Sumerian religion (as that is the OLDEST of the old).

This blog will be dedicated to the conversation of those topics!

As for outside of my spiritual path, I am an undergraduate student studying diligently to get into law school. In my free time I like to read (primarily nonfiction books about history and women empowerment atm), draw, write, watch shows (mainly anime cuz i’m a nerd lol), and play video games (minecraft, dead by daylight, red dead redemption 2, and cyberpunk 2077 to name a few).

I am a dog and leopard gecko mom! I hope to have a snake in the future when I move out! 💜
