I remember seeing a post somewhere that said that old dragon type trainers in the series acted like dragon trainers, while the newer ones act like dragons themselves, and honestly that’s so real
Dragon type trainers (and Pokemon) definitely have a wide range of personalities
But they’re all really spunky and powerful
From Iris to Raihan to Drayden, they all share a very confident but (sometimes) slightly chaotic energy, you know?
They’re all very much those “I’m that bitch” kind of trainers, for lack of a better term
And honestly? Corbeau kind of shares that energy
Poison type trainers and dragon type trainers kind of radiate that same energy, really
And as the mob boss of a literal crime syndicate
Corbeau definitely loves his s/o’s strong and badass energy
He might even bring you into meetings because you could honestly help him intimidate people lmao
The only problem with this, however, is the fact that most dragon type trainers are really chaotic
When you combine your already feral energy with the huge, high-powered Pokemon who always follow you around
You’re definitely going to give him some headaches
Probably at least once a week
Corbeau knows that he probably doesn’t have to be so protective of you
Given the absolute beasts that you’ve got on your team
But honestly nothing is going to stop him from worrying over you 🥺
Even when he tries to keep you from being too chaotic
Like hyperbeaming someone or something…
It comes from a place of love, he swears
He wants to keep you safe and he wants to keep you out of trouble
Sometimes it’s in an effort to preserve the reputation of the Rust Syndicate
But it’s mostly out of love
If you ruffle too many feathers you might end up being targeted
And Corbeau would rather smash his fingers with a hammer than let you get hurt
Plus it might also attract some attention to you
Which irks his (very) jealous side too lol
As for your Pokemon themselves, Corbeau honestly really likes them
Especially seeing your love for them
Watching you pet their heads and feed them treats is so cute to him
His only problem is that they are… very big
Seriously, unless they’re a baby Pokemon, most dragon types are insanely big
And Corbeau is the same guy who hangs out with a gigantic Scolipede, which are canonically like 8’ 2” (2.49 m) tall
But some dragon types still kind of put that to shame
(I scoured the Pokedex website for this lmao) Like both Dragapult and Dramps are 9’ 10” (3 meters) tall and Dragonair is apparently like 13’ (4 m)
Also fun fact, according to the official Pokedex, Zygarde is 16 feet tall (4.88 m) tall???
Okay anyway, you get the idea
You’ve got some absolute tanks on your team
Especially given their movesets
Which Corbeau both really respects… and is kind of scared about
Particularly if they’re protective of you 😅
But at least this way he knows that you’re probably safe most of the time
Given your tough Pokemon
Which is also extra true if they’re particularly protective
But yeah… you’re a badass and Corbeau loves it
Even if you terrify him sometimes
And give him the occasional heart attack
But it’s worth if it so long as it’s you 😉
