Frozen custard is also generally served at −8 °C/18 °F (warmer than the −12 °C/10 °F at which ice cream is served) when it’s made/served fresh. For this reason it also tends to look softer/goopier :9 Some commercially sold ice creams contain egg, but they rarely list the percentage so it can be hard to tell what’s really frozen custard. Ben and Jerry’s use cage-free eggs! To be honest, it’s probably not worth making the distinction unless you’re super opposed to eating egg. In my opinion, frozen custard tastes better and is smoother/creamier. But both can be pretty fun to make at home :D
