A very 90s attempt at cultural sensitivity in this episode.. I enjoy the 'Feds are dumb' trope though.

Due South S01E07 & 08: Chicago Holiday

Judging from the hole in his back, I'm ruling out asphyxiation.

They play with giving Welsh a personal life early on, but it doesn't last.

Anyway, Chicago Holiday is by far my least favourite episode(s). There is just too much cringe for me to handle, and I don't think the plot or main character warrant this being a two-parter. She's a brat and the pacing feels slow.

Janice sure likes hitting people over the head with bottles though.

Side-note: James Allodi (Wilby Wonderful, Men With Brooms) is the leather mountie!

Long overdue for a Due South rewatch, gonna do a draw-a-long. Starting with:

The Pilot

This is the scene where Fraser finds out his father has been killed, the origin of the origin story.

One of my favourite moments of the pilot is when Fraser drops the dead caribou on the mortician's table. It is clearly very heavy.

Due South S01E03: Manhunt

I won't be long.

Some thoughts:

1. Fraser definitely (briefly) dated Frobisher's daughter, right?

2. Leslie Nielsen being serious and moody is so great

3. I feel bad for the bird 🙁

4. How does Dief not know how to open a fire door?!

5. The hospital gown 😆

6. What happened to those horses though?
