It wasn’t uncommon to find Avery spending time on the hood of her vehicle. The old Dodge Challenger served as more than a car to her at times. On occasion, it was a really great hangout spot. Some of her more relaxing evenings have involved her being laid on top of it with music from the car’s sound system filtering out of its open windows. A night like tonight. A Leon Bridges tune filled the air around her. She was humming along to it, foot moving to the beat. Spotting a familiar figure walking by, she perked up and moved to sit up upright. “Dulce de leche.” Avery greeted the Tri Delt president with a smile. “How goes it tonight?” In Avery’s right hand was a Slurpee that’s stained her tongue red. At her side laid a few snacks – an open pack of Red Vines and a half-eaten bag of Takis. “Taki?” She held the open bag out to Dulce.

Destruction was all around them, as the various sides continued on their path to victory. Ángel had no coin in this war, did not particularly care which side came out victorious. There had been few things that brought him to Rome in the first place, and even fewer now that kept him rooted to its streets. If it were to be destroyed, he would find himself somewhere else. Perhaps less annoying. In the meantime, however, he would surely take advantage of what had been served up to him on a silver platter. Death seemed to be vacant from the streets, and he would have his fill of whichever little treat crossed his path. It seemed he wasn't the only one. "Having fun now?"
