A few days ago, Mod Rat posted a few submitted pictures of the Dumbo’s Circus characters’ heads being programmed. This was a really cool coincidence, because I was actually working on a video about that show and Welcome To Pooh Corner at the time!

Dumbo's Circus premiered on Disney Channel on May 5, 1985. I remember watching this show sometimes in the morning before heading off to school. The characters were a combination of walk-around suits, animatronics and puppeteering, designed by Disney Legend veteran Ken Anderson; one of the puppeteers was Muppets album John Lovelady, and the puppeteer of Lionel the Lion is Sharon Baird, the former Mouseketeer.

Not much is known about much of the cast, actually. This show aired 114 episodes from May 6, 1985 until May 25, 1986 and ran in reruns until 1997, and it's basically lost media now.
