That was a little rude. 

Catra said it to the etherian boy who walked into her alleyway. At least she thought he was etherian. She had no idea what the residents of this planet were called. 

Catra’s fingers curled and her claws came out. She placed both of her hands at both sides of his neck from behind, without touching him. She was just threatening. She had been thinking about this for awhile, a way to get food and money without having to dig through the trash. It wouldn’t make her any friends, but she didn’t have any friends to begin with. 

“Sooo, like I’m totally robbing you.” 

She said with a feline lilt to her voice as she dragged out the vowels with her tongue. She scraped the roof of her mouth, and licked the back of her fangs. 

“That’s right you’re getting mugged, like some kind of nerd. So, your money. Hand it over or whatever.” 

She had totally made it awkward now.  Now, she was getting really rude. 

She attempted to smooth it over by being conversational while she waited to respond. “So, uhhh. Is that your natural hair color? Cool, I guess...”

– You text Hatsuharu. Even if you do want to make sure everyone is okay, you decide to be selfish and seek answers first. You don’t trust a word of what the cab driver has to say to you, and out of all of your contacts, Haru feels like the least daunting. He cares about your wellbeing, and won’t question why you haven’t figured things out automatically. If he finds out the reason why is because you are floundering, he won’t blame you or make a production out of it. He’ll give you answers.

– You don’t realize how desperate you’re coming across until you read the texts over again. But even venting, even allowing yourself to reach out in some way has released some stress. You have a line to the outside. It’s going to be okay.

Talk about one hundred ways to make a meeting awkward. What does someone really say to the person they were dating in this place, and after who knows how many months or years later, meet up at the same place. Maybe the real question is if Hatsuharu actually remembers their time together. If he does, then it’s be easy! Maybe. If not... well, he’ll have to think on the spot of what to do when the time comes. “... So when I was thinking about the possibilities of seeing you again, I didn’t think it would come up this soon. Mostly due to the fact that it’s felt like a very long time since I last saw you. Of course, there’s no way you could forget someone like me! I have to make it a habit to make sure that those who come across me never forget who I am.”
