I didn’t get his DLC for the longest time bc of this issue. I was prepared to hate him bc of how I’d always seen him portrayed, and my Hawke is not.... easy to get along with in RP terms either. But he was so good??? Like not Holy good, just. Kind and fiery and funny and supportive but not judgmental and it was beautiful. So ty for being one of the few people who actually helped me meet him!

he’s a good guy. i won’t pretend he doesn’t stick his foot in his mouth at times bc of his privilege, clearly he’s sheltered bc of it, but he has a good heart
i think the fanon attitude is halfway abt varric too, bc he’s so weirdly and needlessly hostile towards him. and everybody loves varric so they view seb thru that lens, on top of projecting things onto him
