This made my think of Dyslexic problem #12
My math teacher in high school would set me down and tell me "You did the entire equation correctly. So you clearly understand the concept but you copied the numbers from the board wrong so the number you started with is wrong so your answer is wrong even though it's technically right. I have no idea how to grade this, you keep making these careless mistakes." Meanwhile I sat there triple checking I copied it right but a couple flip 9s and 6s always snuck through.
I have mentioned i am dyslexic right? Right?? RIGHT??
Something not so funny is wean the spelling mistakes looks like you don't know the language you're typing in 🙃🙃
ADHD is great until you're having a meltdown over a paper you're supposed to read but you just can't understand it thanks to dyslexia and academic language
I just had a dyslexic thought and I want to know if this feels true for other dyslexics:
I have a lot of trouble spelling words that are vowel heavy, like I was trying to remember the Italian word for jewellery - gioielleria - and the first few times I kept trying to put an r where the second I is.

and I think it's because the idea of four vowels just hanging out together unconfined by consonants is absolutely insane to my brain
I explained it to my partner like this
'vowels are slippery and consonants are like the walls that keep them in place and when the vowels are unconfined they slip into each other and get all mixed up'
is that true for other dyslexics?
