Reimu and Momiji duke it out over the Eagle's Deli Challenge at AnimeBoston 2015! Each meal is 6 lbs of burger, 5 lbs of fries, 24 slices of bacon, 24 slices of American cheese, and a whole dill pickle. Good luck!

Touhou Project Group Dinner at AnimeBoston!

For the past few years, a small contingent of AnimeBoston Touhou peeps have had dinner together at Eagle's Deli Saturday evening. This year, since I'm actually now using some piece of social media with relative frequency, I figured I should announce it beforehand! As of last year, our group was deemed too big to all go at once (Eagle's Deli is not a huge place), so we ended up splitting into two groups. We're going to do that again this year, since I expect we'll get even more people involved.

How will this work? A given group of Touhous will meet at the street entrance to the Hynes, at the foot of the main set of escalators. Note that the street entrance is on the ground floor, NOT the first floor (the first floor has Registration, the Dealer's Den, and the entrance to the Prudential Mall). This group will leave the con center and make its way to the Hynes Convention Center stop on the Green Line a short walk away. (If you're not sure how to get there, don't worry, there will be people that have done this plenty of times before!) The group will then take the C Line all the way to Cleveland Circle, the last stop on said line. Eagle's Deli will be right across the street - if you're looking out the windows on the right side of the train, it's impossible to miss.

As stated before, there will be two groups. One group will leave the con center at 7:30 PM. The second group will leave the con center at 8:00 PM. This will give the Eagle's Deli staff a bit of a lull after the first giant wave before the second one arrives. I will be herding cats for both groups to make sure everyone can come along, so if you see a giant Miko waving a stick around, you're heading in the right direction.

Note that Eagle's Deli is primarily a burger/meat sandwich place. There are, however, some non-meat options. If you're a vegetarian/a vegan/someone that otherwise won't/can't consume animal products, check out their website for the online menu.

All Touhou fans at AB are welcome to join us! Come in civvies or in cosplay! We'll probably even be busting some PoFV on the train rides to and from the deli!
