I was diagnosed with exercise induced asthma in high school! I had an inhaler then but have just been dealing with it as an adult. I usually just have a lot of coughing when I stop moving and it's worse when it's cold.
Is coughing a common symptom of exercise induced asthma? Mine isn't bad when its cold, its bad when its hot. This is why I don't think the diagnosis is 100%. Its more like I'm gasping for air and my heart starts beating fast too. I guess the inhaler still can't hurt though.
Is it still easy being greene?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Walking makes my brain race.
I ate pizza for breakfast. Doritos for lunch. Pizza for dinner. An entire roll of Sweettarts and wine and got wicked heartburn.
The cancer results were negative! Still no answer about what caused the symptoms, but better that than cancer, right?
I'm currently an overpaid barista in an understaffed store with people who are leaving. I just want to supervise and order things and make things streamlined and clean things and get a good stamp of approval from the district guy so that I can move up.
I got my first "full time" check (under the 40 hours I will be working on the regular) and make exactly the same that I worked at Key when I was working 50+ hours a week with the potential of being punched in the face.
I am still working at Key sometimes because I'm considering being a drug rehab counselor and being in retail/food doesn't help. Number 1 reason is this girl. I like spending time with people I like.
I hate that I can't paint my nails anymore. Food service. Yuck. (I now paint them with a matte top coat and hide it.)
I've been watching Bob's Burgers a lot lately. My mom IS Linda.
I've been working hard to get my steps in. I apparently have an issue with competition. Fitbit is silly but I need steps to beat people. But I can never win with shortmom and Jess. When I explain it to people, I just say "These are marathoners..." and people say "Oh. You're winning!"
I really want to make plans to visit people and adventure and climb and eat food.
Why is life so strange?

She speaks the truth. Have I ever actually run at a bRUNch? Nope. For all you know, I'm just really good at photoshop and am just faking my entire running life. IT COULD HAPPEN.
I do really love brunch.
Graphic T-Shirt FRIIIIIIDAAAAAY!
So, I realized that after the marathon I gained some followers: hello new people! I'm not as cool as the marathon made me sound. See below photo for evidence. But welcome anyways! Just an FYI, if I don't follow you back, it's not because you aren't cool and interesting and pretty and smart and important! I just prefer posts about YOU, not reblogs.
Smiling is for selfie n00bs. God, I'm attractive.
You guys, the past few days have been pretty awesome. Last night, I stayed up past my bedtime hang out with some really cool kids. It was fantastic. In true fitblr fashion, we started with salad and ended with sangria. Moderation!
I've been doing some running. A few miles here and there to get my body moving and stay in shape. I've resisted the urge to sign up for about three different races. Instead, I'll be volunteering at the ex2adventures Fountainhead Trail Half Marathon in a few weeks. The only thing better than running a race is volunteering at one, seriously. I love it! Also, if you are in the DC-area (and have a car), I highly recommend their trail races. Well organized, good trails, fun times.
One thing that I'm happy to get back into is reading. I was a voracious reader as a kid but apparently, when you get older, you have to do things like "clean" and "grocery shop" and "cook" instead of hang out all day and read. I just finished Mr. Penumbras 24-Hour Bookstore and I LOVED it. It was adult without being heavy, light-hearted without being silly. Also a fast read, I finished it in two days. So if you're looking for a new book, check it out!
It's also MAY aka Mallory's Birthday Month (May 28th, mark it on your calendars). I had goals. But those disappeared while I was eating my double chocolate chip biscotti this morning, There might be a wagon around but I'm not ready to hitch a ride quite yet.
Tomorrow: Ft. Lauderdale! I'll be in meetings for over 12 hours both Monday and Tuesday so I will probably miss a lot of stuff guys, I'm sorry.
HAPPY FRIDAY! Enjoy your beautiful weekends!
