Thursday, Aug 25, 2016 Well today starts a new chapter for the Gorishek’s. Our older son Chase has moved in with us while he waits to hear about a job he applied for after ending his Peace Corp service. If he gets this one there will be a lengthy security check, so he could be “living with his parents” for several months. Hehehe…it makes me laugh. Both our sons are very independent and have lived on their own for so long, it has to drive them crazy putting up with mom and dad. But at least both brothers are here now

Friday, Aug 26, 2016 Heidi and I got to stay home this morning and relax! Chase, Easton, Jenni, and Holleigh headed out the door at 7 am to go to Baños de Cuenca. It is the thermal hot spring resort that is about a 10 minute taxi ride from our house. Heidi and I went there a few weeks ago and thought it was great. Since no one stepped in a hot spring at the real Baños, the younger crowd decided to try it here in Cuenca. In addition to hot thermal water they have mud baths, steam boxes, and saunas

Sunday, Aug 28, 2016 Not much happening today. We walked to Super Tienda to buy some groceries and on the way stopped at a little hole in the wall…well it’s actually nicer than that, and had lunch. I don’t understand how these places make any money at $3 a plate. Chicken, rice, and beans…very flavorful and filling. The weather continues to be on the nicer side and that always makes me happy. Monday, Aug 29, 2016 I sat at my computer writing an article to submit for GringoTree, and drafting articles for my Men’s Life Coaching blog. I’m fortunate because my desk sits in front of large window that looks out over the Yanuncay river. The area in front of the river is an un-groomed trail with tall green grass.
