Edward Hogg in Luther: The Fallen Sun
Close-ups of Fanny and Haxby, both from Harlots, from my Six Fanarts meme. I’d drawn Haxby (here modeling his dapper tan overcoat from 1.02 and 1.05, an underutilized and underappreciated look) a couple times before this, though it’s always nice to revisit his sour little face, but this was my first attempt at Fanny! I got it into my head to exaggerate her rouge quite a bit, as though it’s been dabbed onto the cheeks starkly and not well blended in -- sort of theatrical and charmingly garish, which actually describes Harlots’s overall aesthetic quite well. Does the effect come across here? Probably not, but I decided I liked it enough to keep.
