flashback friday.
Friday June, 8, 2012. EDC Las Vegas.
I would love to relive that night. Hardwell 8-9. His mashup of Walking on a Dream Vs Niggas In Paris still gets me. The old Hardwell me and my boys loved so much.
Kaskade opening with Lessons in Love, me in absolute astonishment that entire set, going absolutely bananas when LLOVE came on. Kaskade promising he will never tell us to make some noise. Chillin in the left back of Kinetic. Kaskade ending with Calling so Alesso can come right on.
FIX YOUR PRESSURE.
Somehow getting reception during Benni Benassi and posting on to my girlfriend at the times wall "they are playing cinema, i told you id let you know, i love you." (daaaaaaamn rico suave over here. shoulda never broke up with her tbh)
Sebastian Ingrosso lighting it up, every DJ playing Promises and that Third Party remix of Otherside.

NEVER FORGET DAY 2.
June, 9th, 2014 marks two years since the wind interrupted day 2 of EDC 2012.
As a attendee of that day, we look back and never forget that tragic day.
PLUR through my eyes.
Through my eyes PLUR is something you fill you're life with, not just the moment. It's a lifestyle, a philosophical way to live, or for many, it may even be a religion. Ever since my first event which was Electric Daisy Carnival 2011. I've changed my lifestyle. I've never been happier than any other point in my life. I've changed how I behave and interact with others and I try and share this life changing experience with everyone I come in contact with.
After breaking that elementary school innocence and started thinking for myself, I've always ended up alone. Depressed. After moving from New York to Nevada my life changed completely. Everything was different and it made me unhappy. I've attended 2 different schools in 7th and 8th grade both of which where ate lunch by myself. When I reached high school, I thought I've found where I needed to be. I made all the friends in the world. But even then, arguments still broke out between them. I was again, caught in the middle, unhappy and even worse, after my Sophomore year of high school, I moved to Hawaii at my father's request. And again, I was alone, depressed and was usually forgotten about. After graduating high school, I wanted to change my life. I moved back to Nevada. My brother helped me find a job, and didn't attend college for a year. Then in 2011 I stumbled across a friend who shared the same interest in music made facebook post which was about Electric Daisy Carnival. I did some research and I've come across the term "PLUR" which is an acronym for Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. But I never really understood what it meant. Then that spectacular weekend came. The music, the vibe, the lights. It was surreal. It was the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I made some single kandi bracelets beforehand and I actually traded a couple of them to the nicest people I've ever met.
In 2012, I introduced this culture to my brother. The wind incident during that Saturday allowed those attendees to return on Sunday. I actually got someone to give their ticket to my brother since they got a single day pass anyway. My brother claimed it was the best night he has ever had. The both of us continued going to other events as well. Nocturnal Wonderland, White Wonderland, Basscon, The Sound of Q-Dance, the beloved EDC 2013 and I even started recently attending local raves making friends! I've even raised my kandi master level!
I honestly love the electronic music community because most of them are those who understand the problems we face in the real world. Only if everyone treated each other in such a way, the world wouldn't be so fucked up. I see many individuals attend events. Some of them friends, acquaintances, or people I just so happened to see elsewhere. I don't know what they go through in their own personal lives so I don't have any right to assume that I know them. But, many of which I witness, believe that PLUR is a "trend" or a "phase" to where they change the way they act because of an event, rave, festival, or whatever it maybe. They tell themselves, they're "all about PLUR," Then the following week, they've gone back to the way they were before. Arrogant, judgmental, hateful, etc.. We're all human that is just human nature. I accept them as they are and befriend them because that's what PLUR is. Accepting anyone and everyone. No matter what race, sex, age, size, appearance. It does not matter. Especially not letting your ego get the best of you. If you don't like how one acts, just let them be and don't associate yourself with them. Just solve what ever problems you have and move on. If you don't like being angry, don't make it worse with unnecessary violence, or arguments. I treat everyone like how I treat people at events. With peace, love, unity, and respect.
