Saw someone else talk about this so I have to as well now. My favorite expression in Resident Evil is the one Leon makes after Shen May rejects him. Not the laugh and smile, the sigh and slight pondering. It makes me feel so bad for him. Not because he was rejected. But because to me, at least, in his expression you can see that he just doesn’t want to be alone anymore. Leon is lonely, and when you notice it, it’s completely heartbreaking in my opinion.
