PSA Re: Eclipse Posting!

If you are posting pictures of the eclipse, please know that the Diné (Navajo) and possibly other cultures (according to the comments on last.real.indians's post) are forbidden from looking at them before or after the eclipse.

So for Instagram: Put two pictures before your eclipse picture because sometimes Instagram refreshes and the second image pops up. Don't post it to your stories either because then the warning one will expire before the actual posts.

On Tumblr: Put them after a cut fully warning eclipse pictures are below it.

On Twitter and Bluesky: Honestly probably best to avoid posting them all together, even if you know how to do that "sensitive content" thing because it still has the picture there,oy blurred.

Hi. So I'm watching Ms Marvel and a large part of it revolves around Kamala's grandmother and great grandmother being separated during Partition. Realizing that I knew nothing about it, I tried to find a good source to educate myself, but what I found all seemed to presume a level of background information that public school in Texas did not provide me with. Can anyone recommend a source that assumes I know no more than a small child, but isn't too oversimplified?
