Day one of the egg fast! I figured I'd mark my little calendar with an egg to mark the occasion. lol. For breakfast I went to Dunkin with Chris and got the egg and cheese sandwich, hold the sandwich. For lunch, I had planned on making egg salad, but then I took a nap, so I technically didn't eat lunch. (#naplife) Dinner was scrambled eggs, with some cheese sticks.
If you're not super familiar with egg fasts, it's a restrictive diet that you're ONLY supposed to do between 3 and 5 days. You basically eat eggs and a source of fat for every single meal (Coconut oil, mayonnaise, etc). You're also allowed to eat one ounce of cheese per meal. That's why you shouldn't do it for very long...you need way more nutrients and greens! I usually am SO DONE with eggs by the third day lol. There's only so many ways to make them before you get tired of them! Haha.
Like I said in my last post, I've done egg fasts before, with great results. I primarily do them when I'm either at a weight loss plateau, and need a little help OR when I want to get back into ketosis somewhat quickly.
Today I rode my bike twice. Once in the morning, and once in the evening. My watch was being a little weird again. For my morning workout, I was leisurely riding. For my evening workout, I was pedaling LIKE HELL, it was awful lmao. But my watch didn't account for the hellacious increase in my heart rate, and said I technically burned LESS calories. Which, 🙄.
My bike knew what was up though, so I feel a little more justified. Haha.
