I attended FanExpo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this year! Here is my Friday coord. I kind of threw a bunch of stuff in my suitcase without trying it on, so I was a little worried about my coords in general over the weekend. I actually created 3 really cute looks, which makes me wonder if I’ve been overthinking all this time. FanExpo 2018 marked one year of wearing lolita, so it was really special for me.

Will I finally start using this Tumblr? A lot has happened in a year! It’s been exactly one year since I went to the TCAF panel featuring An Nguyen and Jane Mai’s book So Pretty/Very Rotten. I had heard of lolita fashion before that day (I have a friend who is a lolita) but had never considered wearing the fashion myself. Today I have 12 dresses and have learned a lot, especially about myself. Today I wore a fun coord to TCAF Sunday and had so much fun. I’m so glad I went to that panel last year, and I’m excited to see where this fashion takes me.

My friend Josh had a very dramatic funeral-themed birthday party last month, so I dressed in my best mourning goth. The venue was a church - I kind of want to host a meetup there someday. I prayed to Mana-sama for better lighting, but it was not meant to be.
