Good morning to all my Elhenry/Elenry shippers.
Today is a great day for us because our dearest Jamie Campbell Bower has spoken.
To give you some context, on February 7th - 8th, Jamie attended Nashville Celebrity Comic Con, and during a Q&A session with the lovely Jake Connelly, someone in the audience asked Jamie the following:
"If Vecna (or rather, Henry) had a chance to choose a different path, what do you think that might have looked for him?''
(THAT'S SUCH A GREAT QUESTION, BTW!)
To which Jamie replies the following:
''Well, I always love this idea that if Eleven had said yes, I think in season 4, that maybe they would have gone off and build this really beautiful world. And whilst, he may have still some rage inside of him, but he would have a friend and maybe at that point she (referring to Eleven) could have been like: look, I know you're sad but you don't need to kill everyone.''
Is it just me, or was he literally giving a summary of the biggest Elenry fanfic ever, "To Right a Life" by our beloved NarrativeOwl?...I'm not saying anything, but I'm saying everything. Could he be one of ours?
Unfortunately, I doubt it, but he's always been very proactive in giving voice to the relationship, even if platonic, between Henry and Eleven, more so than anyone else, even the Duffers.
''So I quite like that maybe they would have lived on a island somewhere, just the two of them.''
Excuse me!?, I can't believe Jamie Campbell Bower himself shares the same headcanon I've been going on about ever since season 5 ended.
Could it be that Henry and Eleven really did end up escaping everything and everyone at the end and went to that faraway land with three waterfalls, living together in a little farmhouse forever?
Finally, he ends by saying this:
''Sounds like a nightmare actually. Awful, poor Eleven, that sucks for her''.
I don't think so, Mr. Bower. Do you really think that?
I think Eleven would have been so much happier that way.
Anyway, here you can see that Jamie is clearly joking at the end of his answer.
This whole response to that wonderful question has fascinated me so much that after watching the video (that I'll leave the link below so you can see it for yourselves) I almost spilled my morning tea.
