What is tabletop exactly and how does one host it?

Do you mean what is tabletop as a genre, or are you asking about a specific kind? It’s DnD basically. There’s a lot of different kinds of tabletop roleplaying games but DnD’s the one everyone thinks of and if you google “how to start playing DnD” that’ll probably give you a good jumping off point. 

Sorry, this is a pretty broad question and I’m not super sure how to answer it–kind of like asking what video games are haha. If there’s something more specific  that you meant/wanna know about(or if you actually DO want a full breakdown of tabletop and won’t find that unnecessary) I’d be happy to try and help though!

Dahl's thunderous footsteps echoed down the hall, and only got louder and closer as time drew on. Suddenly the red and white beast was panting breathlessly at the door frame of the yellow department, scanning the cubicles for- "GAAAALLLLLLIIUUUSSSS~~~" He roared, literally shoving desks aside to make way for the blue demon. What did he want? Who knew, but this ten foot monster was set on letting Gall know, not caring about the ruckus he was creating. (Answer whenever! @window-service)

Gall perks up from his nap upon hearing the loud thunderous footsteps as he blinks in confusion and looks around before flinching and getting a panicked look on his face as he hears Dahl calling out for him as he tries to think of what he might have done to make Dahl angry at him as his face turns pale while the blue demon hastily backs away from him until his back was up against the wall “Y-Yes?”
