idk how many other people noticed, so tack this onto your quangle theories or whatever, but a few things stuck out to me this last episode.
first off, when porter talked to gorgug, he said “if this was even just the start of your junior year, i’d be fine with it.” now, it could be that brennan meant sophomore and misspoke, but it’s equally possible he didn’t at all.
point two is that the society of shadows confirms that the timeline is off. this should be the year that the seven are off finding tectonia— and yet… it’s said zelda already graduated. but that can’t be true, because at the end of the seven campaign, the society of shadows had gone viral.
riz finds mention of the society in the margins of what he’s looking at with a 31 investigation. and he acts like he’s never heard of it. brennan doesn’t say anything about the dude who shit his pants on viral video while talking about this place, so it probably isn’t just murph not remembering what happened in a side campaign a few years ago.
of course, they could’ve men in black’d everyone, but i doubt it— in brennan’s worlds, actions have long term effects, and penny earned that shit!
so it’s junior year. the seven should be finding out about the GED. gorgug and zelda probably shouldn’t have broken up just yet. the society of shadows is still secret.
or it’s not, and the seven have graduated, things have changed, and the society of shadows should not be secret.
