Sal is very much a 'where whatever clothing you feel comfortable in'. He wears the same black sweatshirt and maroon pants for like... the whole game, so clothes are definitely a matter of comfort in his opinion.

Sweatpants? Absolutely. Jeans? Sure. Basketball shorts even in the dead of a New Jersey winter? Go for it but don't freeze. A skirt? Oh absolutely, go for it!

His reaction also slightly depends on the length of the skirt. Knee length or higher? He is definitely looking at your legs. Below knee length? He will definitely spin you around just for fun

He is very much the kinda guy to start dancing with you randomly whenever he's bored, and the skirt makes it more fun, because he will spin you just to see the skirt twirl and he finds it entertaining

He thinks skirts are cool and interesting and the fact that you, a non female person, are so comfortable wearing one makes him proud to know you

He will in fact steal your skirts though so beware

There's also so many different types of skirts?? He's partial to circle skirts because of the floof and twirl factor but he thinks it's interesting how many different styles exist

It was not an easy day.

Everything seemed to go wrong.

You were stressed, tired, and a mix of angry and upset, but you still sat in a garden on Homeworld, waiting for any one of the Diamonds to have the time to see you.

Being surrounded by dozens of plants you didn't recognize was slightly helpful at least, and you couldn't help but stare at the colorful leaves and blossoms that surrounded you.

"(Y/N)? Yellow is ready to see you now." A sharp voice spoke from behind you, and you turned your head over your shoulder to smile at her Pearl.

"Thanks, I'll be there in just a minute."

You sat quietly as Yellow worked on her reports, enjoying the company after the day you had, and when you spoke, it was hardly loud enough for Yellow to hear you.

"I like the flowers in the garden. They look really pretty." She raised an eyebrow at you over the screen she had in front of her, but smiled at you after a moment.

"Every species is from I world I'm in control of. They bloom at different times, so the garden is always full of them. They are quiet pretty, I agree with that."

You smiled at her, enjoying her company and going back to sitting in a comfortable silence.

On a different day, you found yourself sitting in the garden again, this time waiting for Blue. It wasn't your space, but it was beginning to feel like it was. You felt just as out of place as the plants, on a planet where you didn't quite belong, but grew anyways.

Blue's Pearl had watched you quietly for a bit, before deciding that Blue could take a break and sit amongst the flowers with you. You looked too at peace to bother.

And that's how you found yourself sitting across from Blue in the garden, where she quietly explained the different worlds some of them had come from. It was nice to be able to sit and talk about something that wasn't politics or daily life.

She smiled softly at you as you stared at a specific plant in wonder, and then spoke again.

"I don't know why we don't spend more time out here, this garden is beautiful and you seem to be the only one to use it. Would you mind if we sat out here next time as well?"

You weren't sitting in the garden this time. This time, you sat quietly beside White's Pearl, waiting for her to be finished with her work and quietly chatting with the Pearl next to you.

"I've been spending a lot of time in the garden, the one inbetween everyone. I don't really know why, but everything just feels... peaceful down there. It's like time stops, almost."

If White had heard you, she made no outward indication of it. What you didn't know however, is that both Blue and Yellow had mentioned your interest in that specific garden.

And if she had something planned for her starlight, then you'd figure it out. Eventually.

What you weren't expecting the next time you had entered the garden was for it to have changed.

The plants were carefully pruned and the weeds had been taken out. The walkways that were previously crumbling and missing parts had been carefully fixed. The benchs that had been covered in vines were now good as new, and in the centre of the circle they had created was a carefully created waterfall, you could feel the mist on you if you sat too close.

And on the base of the waterfall was an inscription, one you would've missed if you had been looking carelessly.

"Plants grow and bloom in places that are least expected. Here you can continue to grow and bloom even when things are at their worst."

You smiled softly at the words that your beloveds had written, clearly meant for you. And so you laid down on a bench, surrounded in a place that was now meant for you, waiting once more for the people you loved.

But you didn't mind in the slightest, not when they did little things that no one else would've thought of. Not when they showed their affection for you whenever they had the chance.

With their support, it didn't matter how difficult life was. Nothing mattered when you could sit here, or with them, and let time pass without fighting it for once.

It didn't matter how hard things were when you knew you had people you could count on to help make things easier.

Larry came to pick you up, mainly because you wanted to keep your surgery a bit of a secret (Sal knew what was going on, but the actually success of the surgery was the surprise). Also, he was the only one with a vehicle.

You hadn't seen Sal in a little while. You'd been kept in the hospital for a few days while you recovered from your surgery, and were about to head back to the house you and Sal shared with Todd and his boyfriend.

"Thanks for the ride, dude. I appreciate it a lot." You gave Larry a gentle side hug, and he smiled.

"No problem, little dude. Glad to know everything worked out for the best!" You got out of the car, and waved goodbye as he drove back to the apartments. Time to head in.

You walked past the stairs and towards your's and Sal's shared bedroom, only to stop and pet Gizmo on your way, and then get caught by Sal.

"(Y/N), you're back!" You look up at him, and you can tell he's grinning based on how his mask is sitting on his face.

"Yeah, Larry came to get me." You smile back at him, slowly getting up from your position on the floor. You were sore, ridiculously so.

"You pick up your prescriptions yet?" He tilted his head, and you nodded, holding up the tote bag you had brought with you to the hospital.

"Yep, got everything I need! I have to go back in a week to get the drainage tubes removed and from there we'll figure out when I need to come back in again." He nods, grabbing the bag from you and putting it beside the door to your room.

"What were the instructions you were given?" You follow him slowly into the kitchen, sitting down at the table as he put the tea kettle on to boil, grabbing two mugs down from the cabinet.

"Take it easy for the next couple of days, no lifting anything above 5 lbs for the next week and a half, and I can't lift my arms that far so I'll need help with getting dressed and bathing." There's a brief silence as he watches you for a second.

"I'm so proud of you. You took a huge step. And I can't wait to see how things work out in the future for you." His voice was soft as he spoke to you, back turned as he started making your tea.

It was nice, you decided, as you sat across from each other in a comforting silence, drinking your tea and watching the sunset through the kitchen window.

You liked this. You hoped you could sit across him watching the sun set together forever.

"Really, Larbear?" You stood in the doorway to his bathroom, and he looked up at you in the mirror as he gently dabbed at his bloody lip.

"What? Travis said something fucked up to Sally Face and he deserved a good punch in the face. How was I to know he knew how to throw one back?" He snorted slightly, shaking his head, and you rolled your eyes. "And then Ash convinced me to slide down the banister, and of course I had to slip and somehow manage to land face first on the stairs."

"Hun, you need to stop doing stupid shit. You're gonna need stiches one of these days!" You sat him down on the edge of the bathrub, taking the tissue from him and gently dabbing at the twin cut on his cheekbone.

"Why do that when I've got a cute girlfriend who can help patch me up afterwards?" He gave you a cheeky grin, and you rolled your eyes at him again.

"You're so dumb sometimes, you're lucky I love you so much, hun." You kissed his forehead, and he chuckled slightly.

"I am so lucky, I already know." You step away to grab a bandaid from the first aid kit, but he wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you into his chest, almost tipping you both into the bathtub.

You both don't notice Sal enter the doorway as you laugh, but him fake gagging only makes you two laugh harder, inevitably causing Larry to slide backwards, dragging you with him as he does.

When you three caught your breath and you helped Larry out of the bathtub, you smiled softly. Sometimes your boyfriend did stupid things, but he was right, you were always gonna be there to patch him up and laugh it off.

Mostly because you knew that Sal wouldn't let him do stupid things without joining in, at least, so you could laugh at him as well.

He likes to just do random things, whether it's playing video games, listening to music together, painting, napping, or taking walks. He just likes your company!

B - Beauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

He thinks your kindness and courage are very admirable.

C - Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc

If you're okay with being touched, hugs and cuddles to help keep you grounded. If you aren't, he'll do whatever he can to help distract you (like making jokes and listening to music, watching movies)

D - Dates - What's their ideal date?

Skatepark. Just chilling after dark at a skatepark. Can he even use a skateboard or roller skates? Absolutely not. Can you? Maybe. He will definitely try, but its just for the fun of being in a space that's really weird to be in after dark. That or like, being super high and going to an art exhibit.

He didn't, actually. That's not really how he does things. He figured it out, didn't outright tell you, but he definitely wasn't hiding anything (Sal connected the dots and told you with his permission). He treats you pretty much like he treats everyone else, but with a whole lot more affection

F - Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? Why are they fighting?

He doesn't like holding grudges against people, especially his partner, so it's pretty easy for him to forgive you. Fights usually stem from Sal's mystery whatever (the meat freezer, as an example) because he doesn't want you caught up in what they're doing, because they could get in a whole lot of trouble for it

Honestly, its as simple as getting to be happy with you (and his friends)

I feel like he gives hugs like he'll never see anyone again. Bear hugs for a solid minute, probably does the thing where he picks you up and spins around

Honestly, yeah. After being with you, he started dealing with his emotions a lot better (and healthier). He's a lot happier

It honestly depends. If you're with his friends, absolutely not. If you're with someone hes doesn't like, even then probably not. I don't think he would really get jealous.

Your first kiss was just a bit awkward and I feel like it happened during a movie and he definitely was not expecting to kiss you. He likes giving kisses to your temples, forehead, and the top of your head (he's tall)

He would not, no way. He's definitely not hiding that he likes you but he wasn't about to tell you. Oh no, he got Sal to connect the dots with you

It's not on the forefront of his mind. Sure, he'd absolutely think about it if you brought it up, but he doesn't really think its that important

Sometimes, being friends with Sal and Larry was ridiculously exasperating.

Sometimes you questioned why you were friends with either of them. This was one of those times.

They had asked to do your makeup. You don’t know why you agreed.

Larry couldn’t do anything other then grungy makeup, and Sal had no depth perception due to his missing eye. It sounded like a really funny idea in the beginning, honestly, but now that you'd brought all your makeup down to the basement, and Larry and Sal were staring at it very intently, you had a slight glimmer of regret.

"Alright, here's everything. Y'all still want to do this?" You were joking, and they knew it, but Larry was still nodding very enthusiastically.

"Great, lets get this over with then." You sighed, they knew you were only kidding, but you were just a bit terrified.

Five minutes in and the boys had asked you which product was used for what no less then 5 times, Larry had taken to staring very intently at your face, and Sal had stabbed you in the eye accidentally twice.

It was going amazing, obviously.

"Are you two done?" They both nodded, and you sighed, standing up to look in a mirror.

It was.... not bad. They both stuck to a theme, and while Larry's eyeliner was a bit dark, and Sal's eye look was a bit messy altogether, it seemed... coherent. Like something you'd actually wear out.

"How does it look?" Larry looked up from Sal's mask, where he had very carefully drawn on angry eyebrows, and it took a solid minute for your composure to break and you all started laughing.

"It looks great you guys. I could be a model!" You struck a pose and you threw dissolved into laughter yet again.

Yeah sure. These two diabolical idiots were your best friends. And you wouldn't change it for the world.

If you two fight, it has to be something to do with yours or his well-beings. He can be overprotective, but he also is an absolute mess all of the time

He's so easy to forgive you though, he just can't stay mad at you

To be honest, nothing really changed except the state of his living space, because that's all he really thought was not good enough for you

And by that, I mean he started cleaning up after himself. As I said, he is a mess. There's things everywhere. Tiny pieces of metal, food dishes, clothes, you name it.

He's pretty trusting in you, and he knows you can take care of yourself if someone is bothering you, so he doesn't get jealous that often all things considered.

However if you look uncomfortable in any way he will not hesitate to let his nieces commit some murders.

Freaks out over it for a bit and you accidentally stumble upon him planning/thinking of how to do it

Completely on accident and completely out of his element, very shocked when you laugh at him a bit and tell him you'd love to.

U - Upset - How do they act when they're upset?

If he's angry upset, he lashes out at you if you get a bit too near, never physically, but he can be pretty mean. Best to just leave him for a bit to cool down and he'll be back to normal

If he's sad upset, he kinda shuts himself away. Doesn't ask for help, doesn't tell you, doesn't ask for comfort. But he will cuddle with you

Y - Yearning - How will they cope when they're missing their partner?

He lays in bed or mopes around until you're back. And then he'll mope when you're back for leaving him alone (he's not really that upset)

He doesn't really enjoy being alone, and he misses having you for company

He doesn't like fighting, or even arguing for that matter. If you two start having a fight, he will just leave the room/walk away

Which can be a bit infuriating for obvious reasons but like, it somehow works because then instead of focusing on why you're angry, you focus on trying to catch him. And then you can talk it out without being mad

I don't think anything really changed with either of you. He wouldn't want you to change, and the same is said in reverse.

He'd be a bit more comfortable with people being in his personal bubble though. I mean, he has Larry who (in my opinion) just straight up hangs on people, but its not the same

He can be a tad bit jealous, but he doesn't voice it because he feels a bit bad about it

I mean, you are your own person, but you're also his partner and sometimes people suck

He didn't, Larry did it for him

Essentially, he kept rambling about you to Larry, and Larry was getting a bit tired of it (Sal is his best friend, but after weeks of hearing about how this one particular guy is attractive, it was a bit annoying), so he told Sal that you liked him too, and that he was going to tell you that Sal liked you as well

Sal didn't speak to him for about a day, but at the end of it, he had a partner and he missed his best friend, soooo that didn't last very long

U - Upset - How do they act when they're upset?

He doesn't like to show people that he's not okay. If he's upset, it'll likely lead to shaking and a crack in his voice, and since he doesn't want to bother anyone, he either hides in his room, or somewhere else in the apartments.

Find him though, and he's super clingy and will probably fall asleep on your shoulder or with his head in your lap

Y - Yearning - How will they cope when they're missing their partner?

He'll sleep at Larry's probably if you go on a trip, just so he can maybe not focus on missing you

If you just don't live in the apartments, or had to go home, there's a small chance he'll show up at your door either in the middle of the night, or he'll show up as soon as he knows you're awake, if only just for a hug
