"Since last we met I have dreamed of nothing else but this."
It has been far too long since she was last in his arms, like now. ‘Tis all the convincing Morrigan needs to remain just there. Own arms hold him as well, if loosely. Amber eyes watch the sky above scintillating with stars. With none to witness it, she was prone to give room to some softness, even if ‘twas not much.
Truth be told, she has missed him more than she’d like to admit. ‘Tis almost as if they were back to previous times, when Kieran was much smaller and the three of them were together. Perhaps this reunion could be seen as a recommence of it; Morrigan had hardly been so at peace in the latest times as she was now. Equally, neither had her son been so overjoyed as the moment he was reunited with his father. Kieran himself had been through enough hardship in this while; it made her happier to see him most joyous.
Their time apart had been, indeed, rather long; nonetheless, separation had been a necessity. Kieran could not accompany them to where her Warden’s quest had lead him, so it had been best for them to stay apart. They have yet to truly discuss if her lead proved useful in his mission to stop the Calling, or what would the next step be — it can wait a day or so, she thinks. They haven’t truly been together in years. For once, let him rest instead of worrying about yet another problem.
Theron’s words bring a soft smile to her lips, and Morrigan wonders if she will ever grow accustomed to this unusual sweetness. Not likely, though neither impossible. He has known her more deeply and openly than she has ever allowed anyone to get; if he has gotten this far, why not farther? Love might just happen to be her downfall, in the end.
Morrigan shifts, amber eyes looking into his, then. ‘Tis a feeling shared; she has longed for this as well. Words, however, avoid such agreement, and while soft, she turns to humor and changing the subject instead. “Now now, do not get all sentimental on me, my love. I might just have to leave again, if you act too sweet.”
“—— We are here, now. ‘Tis best to left past longings in the past, and delight in what we have now.”
