Hey, sorry if someone else already sent this in, but just a heads up that the whole "Burger King whopper deal being a scam" thing is patently false. You can easily remove payment information from the Burger King app and it is no more (or less) dangerous than usual online ordering. The actual catch is that the promotion is only available at Burger King stores with mobile ordering. But otherwise it's 100% legit.

The Tourism Bureau of Tachikawa, the city in which Gatchaman Crowds is set, is holding an art contest to promote sight-seeing and tourism in the city. The contest is being called "Gatcha!-e"("Gatcha! Image/Illustration") and is currently accepting entries.

The "social contest" encourages fans to draw anything they want, as long as it combines Gatchaman Crowds and Tachikawa, and post the entry on Twitter.

For fans whose artwork is selected, the art piece will be on display at the Autumn Rakuichi 2013 event from November 3 through 4, hosted in Tachikawa. In addition, winners will receive a copy of the Gatchaman Crowds Kinoko Design Works book, autographed by original character designer Kinoko, as well as other exclusive merchandise.

The contest is accepting entries through October 27 at 11:59 PM JST...

!!! This sounds like fun! Anyone interested?

(And have anime vs. real life comparisons for Gatchaman Crowds been done yet? I kind of really want to see some...)

Tentative Fall 2013 Watch-List

So the next season is basically already here (since, you know, the terribad series Diabolik Lovers already started airing), so I'm kind of getting this in kind of late but regardless...

Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Definitely my most anticipated anime of the season. I absolutely love, love the manga, and I am hoping that the anime will match up to its greatness (also the PVs already seem to promise gorgeous naval battles so ;w;). Still kind of "eh" about Iona's design, but I suspect I'll get used to it.

Coppelion: Second most anticipated adaptation of the season! Unlike K, Coppelion is a series that would actually look good with filters. Hopefully GoHands won't go overboard with them...

Galilei Donna: Cute girls? On wanted lists? Sign me up! I have absolutely no idea where this is going to go, but I'm always up for some new anime originals.

KILL la KILL: Is this the most hyped anime of the season or what? I'm definitely looking forward to it, though, and I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Nagi no Asukara: The premise of this anime actually doesn't really interest me... but, hey, it's an anime original, and I'm always up for that. So I think I'll try it out for an episode or two to see.

Samurai Flamenco: A two-cour anime original...?! Definitely looking forward to this, and it seems to continue the modern trend of discussing the idea of "heroes"... Hm... (I wonder how this'll compare to Gatchaman? Or even to Tiger&Bunny?)

Unbreakable Machine Doll: Not sure if I'll actually keep up with this one, as while, judging from the manga, it is a fairly solid shounen series, it really doesn't bring anything new to the table in terms of plot or characters or action. It's enjoyable but not really something I would feel like investing my time in watching.

Also, as oft-talked about as Kyoukai no Kanata is (since, you know, it actually seems like KyoAni is doing something different for once), I'm not sure if I want to watch it. I mean, everything about it seems to align with my interests but I have a policy of not watching adaptations of series I'm not familiar with... Hm... What a dilemma...
