I was tagged by the lovely @gwens-fiction, thanks hon! 💖
1. Do you know your characters’ MBTI personalities?
Not generally, but when I get bored sometimes I’ll take the quiz for one of my characters--the only one I remember at the moment is León’s, and he’s an ISFJ-T 💖
2. Favorite writing trope?
Oh, I love just about every trope related to nuance and gray morality--evil virtues might be my all time fave!
3. Favorite genre?
Oh, probably fantasy! I mostly grew up with fantasy and it has a very special place in my heart 💖 Even my scifi stories are truly science fantasy lol
4. What would your characters be for Halloween?
León-- would dress up as a giant tax bill lol
Vicente-- honestly, either a playboy bunny or one of those black and white striped criminal outfits
5. Do you have a favorite of your OCs?
N-no, I’m a good mother who loves all her children equally (read: León)
6. Is your wip setting varied or one spot?
Varied! It’s set both along the US’s west coast (Portland, OR is the main spot) and throughout a few locations in the Philippines.
7. What genre is your wip?
My current main WIP, The People vs San Andres, is dark contemporary fiction--it also leans heavily into being a legal thriller!
8. What time of day do you do most of your writing?
Anytime I can fit it in tbh, but mostly in the evening/at night/abhorrently early in the morning! I find I’m most productive if I do chores/irl stuff/school stuff in the morning and early afternoon, and then when I’m done for the day I allow myself to write... I use my writing breaks (I’m bad about taking these, it’s kind of whatever) to study/get ahead on stuff for the next day
9. Favorite medium to write? (Computer, paper, etc)
On my computer, for sure! I like writing on paper to help get over blocks/plot issues, but otherwise my head goes too fast to keep up with--I have a fairly fast typing speed and it’s still hard to keep up, haha!
10. Your OC(s)’s favorite color?
León’s is a forest green! He likes earthy colors, for the most part.
11. How do you over come writer’s block?
I’m the worst about this, but I find switching projects helpful! I also like to switch to writing by hand, or rewriting the most recent scene to find out where my block is coming from.
Tagging (feel free to ignore--tagging some new people from this post): @nyxnevin @feathered-quill @westywrites @georgiacwritblr @note-katha @thechangingcolourswithinthewoods @emilymustwrite @sydwrites-things to answer the following 11 questions!

2. Do you have a writing or pre-writing ritual? If so, what is it?
3. Do any of your OCs wear glasses?
4. Which of your OCs shares your fashion sense?
5. Do you write with music in the background or anything similar?
6. What’s the setting for your WIP?
7. Are there any books/shows/games/etc that inspired your WIP?
8. Does your WIP include any holidays?
9. Do you make playlists or inspo boards for your OCs/WIP(s)?
10. What’s your favorite part of the writing process?
11. Is there a scene you’re especially excited to write, or do you have a favorite scene? Can you tell us about it?
I was tagged by @theguildedtypewriter and @ramblingsofabourbondrinker, thank you both so much! 💖
ONE / name / alias: I generally go by as Veronica, my real name, or Asch, my alias. I’ll answer to anything, though--people tend to mix up V names (ie. Victoria/Vanessa/Veronica--I’ve met a number of Veronicas who’ve had the same struggle) and it’s made me truly indifferent to what I’m called lol
FIVE / hobbies: Writing, for sure, although at this point that’s also partially an ideal career and an obsession. But also reading, video games, and eating cooking!
SIX / favorite colors: Purples, teals/cyans/green-blues, and grays.
SEVEN / favourite books: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov is my all-time favorite, and Nabokov’s The Defense is also one of my dear favorites, as are the First Law Trilogy & The Heroes by Joe Abercrombie. The Hot Zone by Richard Preston, Level 4: Virus Hunters of the CDC by Joseph B McCormick and Susan Fischer-Hoch, and pretty much any other epidemiological book I’ve ever touched are also faves that I can never get enough of.
EIGHT / last song listened to: Funny Little Creatures by Nothing More
NINE / last film watched: I honestly don’t watch many movies, but the last one I watched beginning to end was Night School lmao
TEN / inspiration for muse: Everything. Absolutely everything. Nature / weather / mythology / music / other characters / real people / etc., I’m constantly refilling my well of inspiration.
ELEVEN / dream job: Full time author who can afford her mortgage? Yes. But I’m also very, very enthusiastic about the idea of working in the field of biodefense/biosecurity.
TWELVE / meaning behind your URL: Asch is my pen-name, and I’ve always been--admittedly arbitrarily--drawn to including ink in my usernames, so I settled with aschenink sort of as a play on asch/ash. In hindsight I wish I’d just gone basic with aschwrites or something, but I’m way too deep into this to bother changing my url now, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Gosh I am so sorry this took me so long to actually answer. I was away from home and didn’t have a computer and formatting multiple question asks on mobile is a whole challenge. But thank you thank you for sending me some. :) (I hope you got the ask i sent you in response, I haven’t checked your blog yet to see)
Garden Cosmos: How was your day today? All things considered my day was actually pretty good. I was super insanely tired this morning from lack of sleep and basically 12 hours yesterday in a car. But the day has gone well so far. I’m happy to be home.
Gardenia: Are you happy with where you’re at in your life?I can say I’m happy with where I’m going in life but it’s still hard to say that I’m happy with where I am currently in life.
Gladiolus: What is something you hope to do in the next year or two?School? Get driving liscense/car/autoinsurance? Better job? Make Progress.
Glory-of-the-Snow: What are ten things that make you happy/you’re grateful to have in your life? (In no paticular order - except my dog, she always comes first)
