When the connection is this strong, you can hear all the words that were never said.
Some emotions need to be screamed. Others need to be whispered. Some emotions need to be written down and released. Still others can only be felt. Just let it sit inside you, and be felt. It is for those emotions that I will lend you the space between my arms.
Be careful how you treat a heart. They are attached to someone’s soul. Break a heart and you will break the soul as well. The heart may mend, but the soul may not.
As an INFJ empath, we very often understand others better than they understand themselves, which is why many come to us for help or advice. We can understand why a person is doing what they do or why they say insensitive things or act in cruel ways. But understanding doesn’t mean compliance. We can understand but disagree, understand but don’t want to continue being the butt of insensitive words or acts. We have our self respect and boundaries. When disrespected continuously, no matter the reason, an INFJ must close the door and walk away for their own sanity.
Isn’t the heart supposed to be a muscular organ? A mass of cardiac muscles that simply pumps blood to the rest of the body? So why does it forget that that is all it’s supposed to do? Why does the heart end up opening its chamber doors and allow others to go inside, break things, and leave their footprints all over the place for us to clean up after?
Sometimes, all you can do to help someone is to hold their broken pieces together whilst they try to glue themselves back together.
I don’t want to be wanted nor needed by anyone. Wants and needs change in people. You can be wanted or needed one minute, then discarded in an instant. That would never happen if you’re valued. No one ever discards anything that’s of value. Which is why being valued is more important than being wanted or needed.
When surrounded by shallow and callous people who can toss aside a human being so easily, it’s so refreshing to have someone special reach in to grab your hand and take you to deeper, limpid waters, where they show you how cherished you are.
