Hear my words and bear witness to my vow. Night gathers, and now my study begins. It shall not end until my promotion. I shall take no spouse, hold no lands, have no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my campus. I am the integral in the darkness. I am the watcher at the lecture. I am the fire that burns against the stupidity, the light that brings the knowledge, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realm of science. I pledge my life and honor to Engineering, for this night and all nights to come.
