Hey, so I've seen a few posts about pacing as stunning, and I wanted to see about something. I hate talking on the phone, like, it drives me crazy and I can't exactly describe why, but when pace while I'm on the phone, it's bearable. Anyone have any idea what might be going on there? I don't normally pace otherwise. Well, I walk up and down the school hallway during my prep periods occasionally, but it's usually between the printer and my room.
The physical activity is probably making it easier for your brain to function and focus on the conversation.
I do this too!! I pace while I talk on the phone all the time. I don’t even realise I’m doing it, until I hand up the phone and realise that I’m somewhere I have no reason to be, like my sisters bedroom or the laundry.
I always though it was something I learnt from my mother as a child, because she does it too, however I find it almost physically impossible to not pace when I’m on the phone, so I think J’s theory is probably about right.
