Dw the others are somewhere on the surface probably. Farmer and Cloudy are down there because having Mask and Collector team up has a 50% chance of being horrifyingly and extremely efficient and competent and a 50% chance of going absolutely nowhere.

So I finally played Cadence of Hyrule last week, and I decided for sure that, yeah, Artisan gets to do that after Echoes of Courage. Thank the gods that Collector insisted on teaching Artisan the basics of dancing.

As for why he seems to have gone back to his old design—he gets a haircut at some point (can’t fit the entire braid in that hat, after all) and goes back to his old blacksmithing apprenticeship, just long enough that he will no longer feel like Forge will be disappointed in him, so he’s stuck in his old uniform. This is probably… about 2 years after Echoes of Courage? Maybe?

Also?? Cadence of Hyrule requiring a hibiscus potion to wake up Zelda or Link?? Galaxy brain moment. Sleeping magic smells like hibiscus now.

Mask was more outspoken during the war than he is now, but that might just be that he’s gotten used to loneliness as a teenager. Commander—Captain, back then—played a large part in helping Mask adjust from Termina, even though neither of them ever asked for a brother. Pirate was also a part of their merry band, much to the captain’s chagrin about another child being on the battlefield.
