And I’m continuing with the Aimovig/ Erenumab for the next year! My migraines have been reduced by at least half (from 3 or 4 a week to 1) in the past 2/ 3 months and could improve even more with continuous use. I haven’t felt this energetic in years. Quality of life has certainly improved. Migraine drug erenumab rejected for NHS use Erenumab, also known as Aimovig, was admitted to Europe last year. However, the agency approving new medicines, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), said there was some doubt as to whether it was good enough or worth the money.

Migraine has been tied to factors related to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Despite the high prevalence of both diseases, the link between migraine and type 2 diabetes remains unknown. Now, a new analysis suggests women with migraine have a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Good news: women with active migraines are less likely to develop type 2 diabetes. Bad news: if the only med that works to treat them is Aimovig (erenumab) or other CGRP antagonist then you'll probably be more likely to have blood sugar issues if you take such a med.
