Meet me Haeundae Beach at the Hotel and Casino, you can’t miss it.
He was sure this was another one of his father’s tests that he was pretty sure he was going to fail. With a sigh he dragged along his luggage bag and contemplated why he thought it was a good idea to fly to South Korea on his own...
Then again, who else would he have asked? His mother? She’d half a full melt down and then some. No, he needed to do this on his own. He couldn’t be completely lost. He’d followed the bus schedule and map and he’d asked all the Ajumma’s and Noona’s he’d could pester.
He was sure he was bound to the right direction. But walking was taking forever, and the closest bus stop was still so far from the beach... he couldn’t even see it!
He had ignored many times the pang in his chest that rang with rage, annoyance and sadness at the thought that his father hadn’t bothered to send anyone to escort him to where he was. Then again, why would he?
With the millionth sigh leaving his lips he took a moment to stop and wipe the sweat off his forehead, this was ridiculous he’d never get anywhere!
“Fuck all this!” He screamed out, kicking luggage bag in frustration.
He should try to hitch hike, that seemed smart... but as he raised his hand and he saw a van approach he dropped his hand, that’s how you fucking die Sun-Hyun! Don’t get in stranger’s cars!
But it was too late, the van had stopped and he was left staring at the driver with a surprised look as he realized that, as crazy as the thought was... he seemed familiar. He couldn’t even say a word he’d been left startled. Something left a lingering ache in him that wanted to run up to him and give him a hug and he frowned at the idea, shaking his head, “Sorry, I’m looking for Haeundae Beach! I’m lost!” he called out in Korean, not really making his way towards the car for obvious reasons.
