Normally I do not post studies because I don’t see any value in them for other people. They have big value for me because I learn a lot about composition, colors, discovering new brushes, etc.

I think this is my first proper Mogrynn art. All previous fanarts were just sketches. I’ve learned something new, especially with lights and colors. Still long way to go and a lot to learn, but I wanted to do something different and atmospheric. P.S.: Yes, Anduin is taller than Darion. I remember there was some long discussion on tumblr about it that Darion is max 180 cm tall. I used to think he is tall but when I gave up on that idea, I can’t stop using it. Sketch of Khadgar made with Ohuhu markers. First time I tested them and I love them! I messed up his face and I am still angry because of that (what you see is an edited version on pc) but I am happy about the quality of the markers. And I am especially happy with the robe!

So hey, many artists are using real people as a drawing reference. I saw Dune yesterday and I was like: “Ok maybe I should tell them.” And believe it or not, I am using Timothée Chalamet as a reference for Darion for 1 year already since I saw first pictures from Dune. I don’t use him all the time but it’s still majority of cases. I don’t copy everything, I am adjusting jawline, lips and other stuff a bit (yeah, hair too, obviously) but well... he is perfect as a reference for Darion. So yeah, I kept it secret but after I saw Dune yesterday, I just wanted to let you know I use him for quite some time already before Dune was even released. He was even used for the testing page of We Ride Forth (only one panel but it counts).
