Okay I’ve already been beefing with Instagram for adding the feature where we scroll thru reels and it automatically shows us if it was ‘liked’ by people I follow (cuz I watch anime and I don’t wanna accidentally out myself to my fam lmao) but Jesus Fuckin Christ this was the straw that broke the camel’s back

ok so admittedly I don't know a lot about the history of the english language. however. the words "didn't have grammar" to me, as a linguistics guy, sound. kinda stupid.

like just say we're working on figuring it out. that orthography was a work in progress or something. idk. there's no such thing as "no grammar" to a linguist because if it didn't have grammar it. wasn't a language. like yall people did still communicate. maybe the grammar rules were more loose than modern english but "no grammar" means you can't effectively communicate anything and therefore aren't using a language
