Will he ever be used to this? Probably not. Jamie is not, and has never been, a morning person. It's been just a few weeks of this waking up at 3:30 to meet Roy at 4 AM thing, and he's sick of it. Well, he's not sick of getting to spend extra time with Roy, but he's sick of the fact that he has to go to sleep at fucking 8:30 like a granddad to get a full night's sleep before training. His social life is effectively dead, and on the nights he does spend with the team, he thinks Roy can tell that he got less sleep than he ought to.

This is one of those mornings. The team went to Ola's for some celebratory food and drink after the game. Jamie avoided Zava at all costs, mostly mingling with Sam, but Sam was busy with making sure they didn't destroy his restaurant. Still, the food was good. The company, when he had it, was also good. And now he's tired, and Roy's at his door, and they're about to do a full fucking workout. "Morning, Coach," Jamie greets, trying to pretend like he's not still tired. "Y'alright? Y'want some coffee or summat before we go?"

she's soaked through to the bone, her fur coat sodden with rain and blonde hair stuck to her cheeks with great streaks of mascara having melted down them too -- what a sight miss sally bowles must look! the englishwoman bustles into the apartment, pushes past roman and holds her hands aloft, " he kicked me out, darling, can you believe? dear, sweet max simply pushed me out the door and took away my key because he's an awful, jealous bore. " she's so sodden she might as well wring herself out, but she doesn't. instead she stands there, dripping on his floor, " well, actually i rather think it was because of you and how much time i've been spending with you! but how can i not? you're.. well.. you're interesting. and american. and he's.. well, he's a frightful drag sometimes, i fear. " she clicks her tongue and looks around her, forever doing something, " i'm simply going to have to stay here with you, oh won't you let me? won't you say yes, sally, stay forever! the winter nights are just too much to handle in my chilly little bed. go on, go on. "I think the smart thing would be to leave you well alone actually." She smiles, but her comment is tinged with seriousness. Boys like that will get you killed Cecelia. She can hear her father's warning in her head. Morland Holmes practises a detached parenting style but does at least offer advice every now and again. Just so he can stand over his only daughter's grave and say, I told you so. "I think you'd be shocked at how unloyal dogs are when their masters stop feeding them. You're no use to them dead. Why don't we just get out of here? I've got money. I've got more money than this whole city combined. We could go to America; get the coal out your lungs."

mutt stares blankly. a pearl of moisture from his latest pull at his water bottle remains on the corner of his mouth. he promptly wipes it away with calloused thumb pad. he looks off into the middle distance somewhere, finally breaking the stare after several more pulses of his heart, ignoring jude.

he's not wrong. the place is so stupidly big, and when it's dark, it's dark, and there's always been something kind of innately terrifying about hedge mazes in the daytime, let alone at night. but despite all of that ...

this was not the world tanya was born to slot into -- even with the amount of money she was set to earn now she'd been signed to the arsenal proper, tanya didn't feel like she'd ever fit in with these crowds. even so, she's here. she'd stuck her little outfit on and she turned up.. something to do, innit? rude to turn 'em down.

it was the fact she'd woken up there the next day, that'd startled her; the friends she'd come to the party with were meant to drag her into a taxi, but alas. the young gunner yawns, feels her nose crease as she does, eyes water and she huffs, sitting up on her elbows, looking around the room and blinking blearily in the morning sunlight, " what the fuck..
