This can refer to anything from electing to use one salad dressing until it is used up in lieu of opening up the other bottles in the fridge to referencing the idea of not starting any other books until you have finished the one you are busy with.

shuuenpro au where everyone of the film club kids BUT eki survives (or he’s in a coma idk) and these poor kids are traumatized for life

and then we cut to 10 years later

and these new occult kids just wont stop pestering them trying to find out the damned truth while ano, bka, cna and dsuke are just trying to move on and not keep looking back towards the past

and THEN theres this new kid who looks eXACTLY like their dead friendo and ever since they saw his face they wont stop getting nightmares about That Day

and whoops looks like eki never told them he had a nephew ehehh

so in the end they begrudgingly help out the occult club in order to solve the mystery of the bookmark of demise

like cna using her expertise in horror tropes telling aya what Not to do and ano just physically punching the lights out of somebodys doppelganger (or anybody who proposes a fuckin Bad Idea *hint: its aya) and bka constantly texting them reminding them not to do Stupid sShit and dsuke following them around but in a Good way so that he can keep tabs on these Innocent (not really) children
