So this was the daughter of the Evil Queen, the women who had tormented his mother -- but had brought his parents together one could say. Dmitri stood back, arms folded leaning back against the wall. She was young and clearly very clever, but she was definitely not what he had expected from the rumors.

               “DON’T PISS ON MY LEG AND TELL ME IT’S RAINING, EVIE.”     it’s less vindication and more pity that she feels towards the children on this wretched island; whether it’s for their dreadful parents or the expectations laid out for them is up for debate. truly, she relates far more than they could ever know, and the only difference is that the villains of her childhood were just as ordinary as the rest. she knows evil that comes not from magic spells and potions and fire-breathing dragons, but from regular people who lived regular royal lives. monsters come in all shapes and sizes. she will always regret that she has to raise her son amongst an island full of them.     “i saw you steal it. hand it over.”
