I also forgot how like...fucked up the jedi philosophies are omg
#like 'we don't celebrate ppl's accomplishments and we don't reward some more than others#except when we do'#'you've gotta submit your will to others...but there's no obligation for this to be mutual'#Anakin is literally the bad guy in this book because he felt comfortable in a mutual partnership with Tri#*Tru#who treats him as an equal and is nice to him#and not Ferus; who treats him like an underling and is sometimes openly hostile to him#because that's the Jedi Way(tm) you see#idk the annoying thing is that the whole idea of Anakin falling to the dark side is that he's supposed to be a decent person#but also have this dark evil side to him or something#but you're supposed to like him as a character and relate to him#except he's also evil sorta#and half the time no one knows how to handle this as a storyline for...obvious reasons#so Anakin is never really pinned down by anyone who writes him and everyone writes him totally different#anyway#madcap rants#star wars#jedi apprentice books
