Exector is notable for being the first original game developed by Arc System Works and the first to have Guilty Gear creator Daisuke Ishiwatari credited on it. He’s listed under “3D Modeling Assistant Designer”, but Ishiwatari himself says that his role was limited to drawing characters for the game’s homepage and a bit of debugging. Despite this, Exector exhibits some of the defining qualities of Guilty Gear’s first installment, such as multiple references to rock bands and gameplay that’s unpolished but endearing.

Annon-Guy: If EXECTOR from the PS1 Game of the same name became a playable character in a fighting game, how do you think he would play?
If he's too big, Arc System can easily downscale him like Capcom did with Sentinal and Shuma-Gorath in Marvel Vs. Capcom.
My recollection of Exector is that it had a lot of missiles, and its job was to save a Space station named Spin Drift from crashing on to the planet or something along those lines...
Well, it's been years since that game came out, so unless ARC System Works has half a mind to revive that IP, it'd take a while to do so.
Side note: apparently the game itself was mostly developed by Minoru Kidooka, the company's President!

While running retail demo discs on here is always fun, with monthly ones like the DemoDemo series, it’s easy to have some pretty dry volumes and I’d argue that this is definitely one of them. The two games non-Japanese readers are most likely to recognize, Jumping Flash and Tekken, are relegated to videos, while the actual playable content is a mostly sad mixture of sports sims and multiple pachinko game demos, the latter of which will become something of a recurring trope with these discs as time goes on. Regardless, I don’t snub the duds on here, so here’s a content breakdown of what to expect should you give this disc a whirl for yourself:
