Finally signs of progress in the project that never ends! At this point, all of the hardware is installed except a PTZ camera for lecture capture (that one's my fault--I didn't realise I needed to order the mount separately). I'm still waiting on the network team to patch in the ports I need and get them on the right VLANs, but I was able to get started with commissioning and debugging. Like most big projects, I did the programming for this one ahead of the installation and without any of the hardware to test with. As long as I've been doing this, it still surprises me when I load the program for a first test and the core functionality of the system works first try. I still have a long way to go bringing secondary features online, but it's nice to finally have something to show for all the work put into this project so far.
