“NOT VERY TALKATIVE, ARE YOU?”
Eyeing the rather strange-looking man some distance away from her, Revenant punctuated her sentence by plowing a fireball into the midst of a small swarm of shades. Some scattered; Others were not so lucky, shrieking in their misfortune before fizzling out. They were weak, their only advantage was to attack in groups... But this one hadn’t quite been big enough to be much of a challenge. One moment they’d simply been observers, ensuring her job was done, the next they had turned on her like all the rest.
The few shades that remained skittered along the edge of shadow, appearing hesitant to retaliate. Revenant scoffed, turning her attention back towards the other. His gaze was unnerving, a piercing green with such coldness behind it that Revenant could almost feel. Everything about him screamed otherworldly, though in this place that was hardly uncommon. She was able to meet it, if only for a minute, before shaking off the tingle which had been creeping up her spine.
“That’s fine.” The fire which she had started had begun to spread, catching quickly to its surroundings and inching outwards in every direction. It would keep less determined creatures away, for the moment, but she had no intention of staying in one place for the duration of this catastrophe anyway. “You don’t have to talk. You just have to keep up.”
As if on cue, a bestial roar pierced the air some distance away-- Obscured by the surrounding buildings. It sounded much larger than the shades which had since dispersed... A gift, perhaps, from the GPU, another creature sent to partake in the destruction of the island. Head snapping in that direction, the woman paused before turning to him, raising a brow and gesturing to his weapon.
“You do know how to use that thing, right? Just in case.”
