Folks I am SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!! Quite some time ago, I was trying to buy a bolt stand for my sewing lair. I've actually wanted one for a long time, but had zero luck finding one. They're technically a retail fixture, so they're really hard to come by! I found some on eBay, but unfortunately the shipping was absolutely outrageous.. I’m still working on the kitty butterfly on a flower. Also, I’m still putting together the new sewing area. The closet is pretty organized since I spent 5 hours separating types of fabric. The containers and labeling are a bit eclectic and that works for me. Since I remember things visually, I know that that there’s a certain type of fabric in the fairy bag and another in the red tote. The labels were made with notebook paper and a stapler because that’s what I had in the room. It’s better to be done than perfect in this case for sure. How do you store your fabric? I use my old clothes dresser and little cardboard cut outs. The most I’ve wrapped up on one of these are 13 yards. I’ve also had fat quarters on these and strips but I used all of mine up for the last quilt. I don’t like this method for fat quarters too much. I may do small strips for my fat quarters for my bjd fabric in its own drawer. #fabricstorage #thifty #uprecycled
