it was a disrespect as well to the character holdo was shown to be in that leia novel and also like … every member of the resistance but like ??? the disservice to poe? going back on EVERYTHIGN he was as a character??? to do what??? what lesson was learned here?? ?nothing

the only good thing that movie did was poe touching leia's hand and the finnrey hug ‘

sure, i would have loved to have seen holdo from the novels in the movie! like i hekking love laura de/rn too and just - so much potential from them working together with different leadership styles and poe learning from that, or poe having to learn how to let go sometimes because he’s not able to save anyone. there’s a million other plot points they could’ve gone down on but rian decided to go with arguably the most horrible rendition that he could think of. it was a regression of his character and the ‘learning’ of lessons he’d already learned ages ago. i could list all the comics where he already did that in like ????? rian pls.

gosh the poe and leia moments would’ve been so great, and yeah she didn’t need to shoot poe, he was already lowering his blaster, and she didn’t need to slap him either like ?????

OH GOD I AM ONCE AGAIN REMINDED fuck. that scene was so horribly inappropriate and gross. way to include some gross subtext into a person you’ve helped put down, like way to go. nuh uh.

        most of the time, what she can do is completely useless; it’s just a lot of noise in her head, screaming at her at the top of its lungs, making it impossible for her to get anything useful from it. the odd thing, here and there, perhaps, and maybe it’d warn her about people being good or not, except that bea doesn’t trust anyone to begin with. she’s an island, on her own, an entire sea keeping her separate from the rest of the world.

        it’s okay. it’s safer that way. and safer means better.

        but then, very occasionally, she sees things, like the fact that in a few seconds, some guy in a total supervillain outfit is gonna come crashing out of that six storey window, and land on that other guy walking underneath. there’ll be broken bones, probably. blood. terror. 

       so she does the logical thing: she makes herself take the guy’s sleeve, and pulls him out of the way with a sharp tug---and not a moment too soon, apparently. the glass still shatters, loud enough to drown out her head, almost, and the bad guy is suspended in motion, for a moment, as he falls, but nobody gets squashed. nobody’s hurt. it’s all good. right? that---that was a good thing to do, right?

        ( a piece of glass caught her arm, but she’s too busy trying to calm the beat of her heart and her sudden discomfort at the gathering crowd to notice. )

General Calrissian’s kept it pretty quiet; and with good reason, because Poe’s sure the First Order would be in Cloud City in no time if news got out. For his part, Poe’s done the same; kept his mouth shut, snuck off to Cloud City at any chance he got. He reaches for Finn’s hand --- didn’t know there were stories about it. Can’t begin to imagine------ freedom, existing only as shadow-shrouded rumour. 

“General Calrissian--- he’s a good man. You’d like him, I think.”

no words were uttered as she wrapped her arms around him, sighing into the embrace.  she just... REALLY needed this.  thank goodness finn was in her life.

          ❝ do you understand anything they’re saying ?? ❞    there was a point in his life that he could speak and understand a wide variety of languages. lack of practice has made him rusty,  certainly, but this seems like something entirely different, and without threepio to translate, he finds himself at a  LOSS.  it’s all he can do now to hope that the younger man may be able to fill in the gaps -- if not, they’ll have to find a different approach.

he’d been waiting outside the infirmary room finn was in, his fingers nervously fiddling with the jacket in his hands until he sees finn emerge and a smile breaks out on his face. he’s been so tired, so afraid, and seeing finn there whole and out of the bacta suit? it was enough for just a moment. “hey.” he sounds breathless,foolish, but he’s feeling a little foolish here. “uh, i, fixed your jacket.”
