I was at a costume party last night, so I figured I'd show off here.

Pondering replacing my recently waterlogged tarot deck. I like the Robin Wood deck I had before (essentially a more pagan-flavored Smith-Waite deck), but I'm open to other decks that might be even more suitable toward my aesthetic. Given that a number of you oraculate on occasion, anyone got any recommendations on mythic, elf, or fae-themed tarot decks? (I've got Brian Froud's Heart of Faerie oracle deck already.)

Last night, at another kink dinner…

One night, I was at a dinner for a local kink organization I’m a part of. Bunch of hoomans. The hooman across from me apparently saw a social media profile of mine, where I’m wearing elf ears as part of a costume. When he saw me in person, he did a double take, and said, “I wasn’t sure if those elf ears were real.”

On Kin Against Humanity (update)

Been working out the schedule for Kin Against Humanity crowdsourcing amidst the RL craziness. The sessions will occur on IRC, on the EDMC channel. More details about EDMC (including channel guidelines and address information) here.

I’ve decided to hold two sessions. Here are the dates:

Sunday, October 11

Sunday, October 18

Both will start around 4 PM Eastern Time (8 PM UTC) and will run for an hour or until we tire of it, whichever comes first. But I’ll likely be on after that to hang out.

If you wish to participate, please note the following:

You will need to license your contributions under a Creative Commons CC-BY-SA license to be in the deck. As mentioned before, I intend all physical decks to be sold at cost; I don’t intend to be profiting off of this. I will also be providing printable PDFs so people can integrate this with the original game. All of these will be licensed CC-BY-SA.

As the editor, I reserve the right to include, or not, your card ideas at my own discretion. Those who know me know that I take a very dim view of censorship. But if I only have X cards to put in the deck, and have 2X submissions, well...

As mentioned before, nobody will be getting compensated for this. The only thing you will be getting is blame credit. The only thing I will be getting is blame credit. As long as you understand that, we’ll be fine.
