Siri relished in the cool, clear water. The sun was merciless today. Without a moments hesitation, she had stripped down to her boxers and sports bra before leaping into the lake. She wasn't sure what kind of celebration was going on but the crowds milling about made her uneasy.
She sank to hide from the buzzing world above. The water was clear enough to see the crystals creeping along the bottom of the lake. Siri watched as the bubbles floated lazily to the surface. Her lungs burned as she drifted deeper. She squinted against the rippling silhouette dancing along the waters edge. She could hear a muffled voice calling out.
She looked back longingly towards the crystals. She was so close. With a huff of bubbles, she swam back towards the surface.
"Ever heard of the myth of Diana and Actaeon? Spyin' on women in lakes never did anyone any good."
Her words were mostly gurgled as she spewed water and wiped at her eyes. She moved closer to the bank, her feet barely brushing the bottom.
"Can I help you?"
