Fuck a basic "teen Halloween party" I wanna have an Over The Garden Wall themed party instead

Like I'm gonna make home made apple cider with potatoes and everything!

I have a dinner with my coven to celebrate solstices and equinoxes. I thought I might share what's on the menu for this year's Autumnal Equinox as I'll be doing a fair deal of cooking today and tomorrow.

Cast iron skillet cornbread

Home whipped honey butter

Salad with cranberries (my covenmate is making this so I'm light on the details)

Roasted kabocha squash stuffed with a pilaf of brown rice, ground turkey, sage, cranberries, parmesan, and pecans

Chocolate pecan pie (as a break from last year’s baked apples)

Mulled cider or pumpkin ale

And because we have pets (familiars?) I make pumpkin peanut butter treats with bits of oven dried apple. If I have noticed toads occupying the houses in my garden I sometimes also put a few dried blood worms in their pools. This is also the day we change the wreath on the front door and begin fall decorating.
