Artwork of the Master found in the "Vault-Tec Lab Journal", which was the player manual for Fallout 2. Though the illustrator is not credited, in universe the drawing was created by the Vault Dweller who is describing the history leading up to the founding of Arroyo.

every time I hear the master's dialogue where they realise how delusional they were always makes me just a bit emotional.

Like, The voice acting for the master is amazing and during their realisation, you can hear how much they regret the things they've done, and the last line; "There is no hope.... leave now.... leave while you still have Hope......."

I don't really know why but that last line just always hits me hard.
