How did y'all discover MCoG for the first time?

I watched Season 2 as a kid on the TV, was not even aware that it was a reboot or that there were other seasons until about a year ago when i randomly remembered it during an exam.

 There are a LOT; Clay, Bobby, all the villains... Oh god June! All the people involved in stealing Abel and not giving him back. Like how can I just choose one?? Line ‘em up and just do one big slap line.

𝑨 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆:

 I - I don’t actually have a pairing that I love. Jax and Tara ... she had so much to live for and his decisions kept holding her back. She was basically a single mother as well as a doctor, and handled Gemma. 

Opie and Donna felt like they came from two separate worlds and he only showed passion for her when she died. 

And then Opie and Lyla... it didn’t feel right. It didn’t click. 

  Clay and Gemma - well they were perfect for one another, but I don’t ‘love them’ per say. Because of what Clay did to Gemma; it churns my guts. 

𝑨 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒔𝒆:

  Chibs & Althea. Chibs never really had any romantic partners throughout the series, and they gave him a COP?! Watching it for the first time... I was EMBARRASSED for Chibs ... And I always skip the episodes when they’re together. 

  I also HATED Jax and Colette; she looked as if she was his mother. And it felt ... Freudian. Like a weird Mummy kink thing. I know it wasn’t a proper relationship but they still hooked up and it felt so odd. 

An additional question that I want to add:

Inspired by praxiz-eights post about where Inazuma Eleven fandom members come from, I decided to do a fandom questionnaire in order to discover whom our fandom actually likes (using my schools questionnaire program, I’m such a good student, lol). A twelve simple questions, it won’t take long for you to answer and we will all get to enjoy the data I’ve collected and analyzed it. Since Ares is airing in the summer, I wanted to do this now so that I can compare the statistics once Ares airs and we most likely get new fandom members. 

The questionnaire is simple, anonymous and you’re not obligated to answer all or any of the questions if you don’t want to - but that also means I won’t get as accurate data. Here’s just a few things to take into note while answering the questions. 

1. Inazuma Eleven vs. GO  Inazuma Eleven characters who appear in GO are counted as two different characters. You can vote for Teenage Endou to be your favorite Inazuma Eleven character and Adult Endou for GO. Inazuma Eleven Kageyama and GO Kageyama are also two different people, but Ishido Shuuji and GO Gouenji are the same person.

You’re also allowed to vote for all Inazuma Eleven and GO movie characters, expect for Danball Senki characters. 

2. Female Characters  Someone here posted that Inazuma Eleven has like 1,339 characters... So you can choose your top guys for Inazuma Eleven and Inazuma Eleven GO. Meanwhile the female ratio is much smaller and thus they have only one questionnaire. This is why please be sure to mention whether you’re voting for Otonashi Haruna or Otonashi Haruna GO.       

3. Your Top 5  Even if it says your top five, if you have only two or three characters you like or pairings you ship just write them down. I’m all good with just that. :) 

The questionnaire is open till January 29th and results will be out in February once I have analyzed all the data and made statistics out of them. Everyone have fun and spead the love of Inazuma Eleven (and this post) so that I could get as much answers as possible to have reliable data.

I put a lot of links and videos in my answer for more reference (more like because Tumblr won’t let me post pictures). ^^ Please please please view / watch them so you’ll have an idea of whatever I posted.

A: Your current OTP.

Anna Leonowens and the King of Siam (The King and I), because that gorgeous new Broadway revival has me gushing all over my 1956 movie with Deborah Kerr and Yul Brynner again. (And had me download a new Blu-ray version because my old copy’s already worn-out. Haha.)

N: Your favorite fandom (for the people; not the thing you fangirl over).

This is hard. I like fandoms for the stuff I fangirl over. XD Besides, I tend not to follow fandom stuff because their over-the-top arguments kind of take the magic away from the thing I’m fangirling over. (Healthy debate is one thing, but they actually insult each other, and it’s too jarring, TBH. One of the reasons I stopped following K-pop in general. Doesn’t help that the sasaengs are also a turn-off, either.)

For our current purpose, I’d choose Akatsuki no Yona - at least everyone agrees with each other over everything. (Don’t we, Nish? ^^) Like, how awesome the whole series is, period.

Anime/Manga: Korosensei (Assassination Classroom)

I have a big, big, biiig crush on Karasuma-sensei, but I learn a lot of things from the octopus. The life lessons he imparts to his 3E students have impacted me in a positive way. I am truly glad I’ve picked up this manga.

And it helps that he’s so damn funny.

Like seriously.

Video Game: Balthier (Final Fantasy XII)

The leading man, who else?

Looks the part, speaks the part, acts the part. Badass, too. I love me my bishies, but I cannot resist this one.

Book + TV series: Sung Park (Monday Mornings)

As portrayed by: Keong Sim (Mike Chang, Sr. on Glee)

I actually wrote a short description of the book in a forum post I made before. Read this first for some insight (and a copy of the ebook).

Now, on Dr. Park. I enjoyed his story arc in the book the most out of the five viewpoint characters, by a cloooose shot. (And no, it’s not because we’re both Asian. Swear.) Without spoiling anything (I hope), it reminds readers (especially doctor readers) of their own humanity, and that there is life outside the workplace. In the TV series, Sung eventually evolves into a more human doctor who treats his patients as humans (not just cases that need treatment).

Such hugot, much wow. (Because #roadtoMD ^^;) I’ll definitely need this to keep me grounded.

Musical: Kim (Miss Saigon)

Original actress (both West End and Broadway): Lea Salonga(singing voice of Jasmine in Aladdin and Mulan in, well, Mulan)

Western Cartoon: Zuko (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

I was contemplating on which character I should go with for ATLA because I like them all for all reasons (too long to explain!), but okay I have a big crush on this guy so to hell with choosing lol XD

X: 3 OTPs from 3 different fandoms.

One peculiarity of mine is that I ship mostly canon pairings. It has nothing to do with the author’s wishes, really. It’s simply because they feel right. (Like, on hindsight, there’s precisely a reason why the author set them up that way.)

That said, Imma choose three exceptions to my mostly canon pairing preference.

Anime/Manga: Hitsugaya Toushiro + Kurosaki Karin (Bleach)

It’s an anime-only crack pairing. It’s not even a pairing in-universe. I still think it’s adorable, though. (That, and I hate Hinamori with a passion. Sorry, girl.)

Video Game: Larsa Ferrinas Solidor + Penelo (Final Fantasy XII)

This post from finalfantasyconfessons on tumblr puts it quite well:

“I’m not really one for shipping, but I absolutely ship Larsa and Penelo (when they’re older). They seem like they would have a very interesting story together.”

Also (yes, there’s always an ALSO!), Vaan belongs with Terra and not Penelo. Blame Dissidia Duodecim for that.

What? You mean the lead guy doesn’t get the girl?!

If the lead guy’s a homicidal psychopath, then unfortunately, no.

Many fans think otherwise, however, myself being one of them. No, it’s not because of the drama or because I’m an Erik fangirl (though TBH it’s more of being a Ramin fangirl more than anything lols). I’m more interested in speculating what happens if Christine chose the Phantom instead of Raoul, then how the dynamics would go from there. I’m not expecting love out of it, but probably someone who finally understands and accepts Erik, and healing of his poor, tormented soul.

For the record, Love Never Dies does not count. I only liked the music, not the story. Sorry, ALW.

Hmm, probably Jessan? I didn't start really loving Beka until later in the first book, but Jessan made me laugh from the beginning. 

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now

Gil. He was just a boring lens for Jos and Jos was way more exciting. Except then I realized that Gil is fucking hilarious and the way he sideeyes being thrown into all these galactic events is amazing. 

Another one is Perada. She's super cold, but she gets shit done. 

The character everyone else loves that I don’t

I don't know? Mageworlds fandom isn't really huge. :P 

The character I love that everyone else hates

I don't know if other people like Owen as much as I do, but that'll be my answer. 

The character I used to love but don’t any longer

The Professor. While I enjoyed the two books about him, they really took away a lot of the mystery surrounding his character.

Jessan or Jos or Jens.

Beka. Because she kicks ass. Obviously.

Nivome or Tarveet because EW to both of them.

What was your first fandom? I think Star Trek The Next Generation, although at the time I don’t think I realised it was as I felt like the only fan in my very small (and small minded) town.

What is/are your current main fandom(/s)? Other than the Rennerdom? I’d like to say Marvel but I still don’t feel I know enough as I’m not a comic book reader and never have been. Certainly the MCU arm of Marvel though. Still love me some Star Trek TNG, Buffy, and lots of other shows that would take too long to list.

What fandom have you been most involved with? Probably Renner/Marvel as before then I’d never cosplayed and never interacted with any like-minded fans.

Who are your main OTPs? Of this fandom? Definitely Clintasha. Also have a soft spot for Steggy.

Any other pairings you have a soft spot for? I don’t mind me some Pepperony and as a brotp I’d have to go Science Bros.

Any NoTPs? As beautifully written as the fics are, I’d have to go with Phlint. It just doesn’t do anything for me. And FrostHawk. No. Just no.

What got you into your current OTP? Ah that would be the lovely arms-and-arrows. And when she pointed out how Clint whispered “Natasha”. You know when.

Things (in your opinion) that fandom gets wrong about your OTP: I honestly can’t think of anything right now but I’m sure there is stuff?

1.) Your name? Callan or Drake, but I go by Zundaerazylym on the interwebs. I used to play Forgotten Realms DnD religiously, adored dragons (hence "Drake") and particularly loved Zundaerazylym, a steel dragon who lives as a fat, happy laundry lady who shares stories with everyone. Except for the laundry bit, it's not an inaccurate description of me. Missing the astrophysics and caffeine bits, but... still accurate.

2.) Favorite episode? I think it's The Sign of Three, but Hound is in a very, very close second.

3.) Favorite character? John Watson, though Sherlock is damn close. 

4.) Favorite soundtrack? The theme from the taxi chase in A Study in Pink, or perhaps the theme from Sherlock fighting off the masked guy with the sword. I like the energy and vigor. Sherlock's Waltz for John and Mary is tied for first, too-- I'm a huge fan of Bartok, whose style and works were an inspiration for the piece.

5.)  Favorite fanfiction? Or if you don’t have a favorite, do you have one to rec? Oh sheesh. Um... there are quite a few.

The Ichor of Talos by nikoshinigami - A real tour-de-force of all of my favourite parts of science fiction-- explorations of consciousness, sentience, humanity, and human relationships in the context of the ex- or non-human, all set against a cleverly-constructed case and a believable far-future world. Tough, introspective, and gritty, I cannot recommend this piece enough! ALSO APPARENTLY THERE"S A SEQUEL YES PLEASE

On the Ice by berlynnwohl - True to this author's utterly wonderful style, On the Ice is quirky and engaging with a well-realised cast of characters, a very science-y Sherlock, and one of the most unique settings I've had the good pleasure of seeing written in this fandom. 

((U+C+I) x (10-S))/20 x A x 1/(1-sin(F-10)) by Silverpard - Mycroft Holmes is abducted by aliens and it's glorious. GLORIOUS. Albion and the Woodsman by Glenmore - One of my favourite kidfics in the entirety of everything. Sherlock is half-mad, half-genius, and half madly in love, Albion is lovely, John is some kind of wonderful, and this whole story is just bursting at the seams with brilliance, both of the 'excellent' and 'wow smart' sort. 

What This Flesh Has Gone Through by Moranion - Stunning. Possibly my favourite Mary ever in the entire world, which is saying quite a bit because overall I'm very fond of Mary Morstan, canon Doyle or otherwise. It's witty, it's realistic, and it's a gorgeous give-and-take as the parties involved find their way to a balance that serves them all well. 

Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Baker's Yeast) by yaycoffee - Easily my favourite depiction of Sally Donovan yet, and a Sherlock who slowly but surely finds his way to being a supportive, reliable, and devoted (if not immediately warm or fuzzy) father figure, friend, and lover.

Oh god, there are so many more yet that I would recommend, but these are the ones that sprang to mind right away. 

6.)  Favorite ship?  Johnlock, Johnlockary. 

7.)  Favorite headcanon? Demisexual Sherlock forever and with the burning of a thousand O-type stars. Also, high-IQ John. 

8.)  Favorite fanvideo? I’ve only seen the Wholock one.

9.)  Favorite AU? It's a tie between magical realism, Omegaverse (I know, I know), and special intelligence services!John.

10.)  Most drastic thing you’ve ever done for fandom? Not sure-- I love Sherlock and collect all sorts of the adaptations and prints of canon things, but I've never done anything really... out there? I just reserved the new limited edition box set coming out in November, though. Does the fandom exacerbating my honeybee fixation to the point where I plan to have hives someday count as drastic?
