‘can i touch you?’ ( julien really wants to touch that baby bump lbr )

the question seemed to have come out of nowhere; they’d been curled up on the couch together watching a movie when julien had turned to her and asked, his eyes glancing shyly to her stomach. she’d just grinned and reached out for his hand, pressing it down where she’d been feeling flutters on and off instead of giving him a verbal response. “he’s moving right now. i don’t know if he’s strong enough for you to feel yet,” she said, her hand resting lightly over his. “thank you for asking. really. people have felt like they have the right to touch me since i’ve started really showing and it’s…” she puffed out her cheeks and shook her head for a second. “but you’re my boyfriend, so you have permission whenever. it’s alright.” she leaned up to press a quick kiss to his mouth and then relaxed against him again, eyes returning to the screen.
