Image ID: A realistic graphite drawing of an extinct South Island Adzebill from the neck up. The bird has a large domed beak that comes together in a sharp point. Dark feathers run from the top of its head onward while lighter feathers line its underside. A white oval marking surrounds its eye separated by a strip of dark feathers between it and its bottom jaw. 5 white stripes which get progressively longer from top to bottom creep up from the white underside partway into the dark feathers on the back of its neck. To the left handwritten text reads,"Februsaury Day 5 - South Island Adzebill - Aptornis Defossor - Late Pleistocene" and separately the handwritten artists signature is at the left base of the birds neck which reads,"Xavier Daigle 2026.". END ID.
