tw: suicidal thoughts.
just gathering this because I’m curious how many of us have been negatively impacted by shame caused by fatphobia and sexual ostracism.
feedists, have you ever experienced suicidal thoughts directly related to the shame you felt for your fetish?
yes
no, but it negatively impacted my mental health
the shame did not impact my mental health
I did not struggle with feelings of shame
reblog for reach!
a couple months ago i started a server for dutch feedists with the intent to make a bit more local community too. Now its actually a server with a decent amount of people chatting, its possible and im so happy also if you are in the netherlands or in surrounding countries, here is a link to the server in question https://discord.gg/CFHyB4ZCnS
my type is guys who get hard when they realize they've gone up another clothing size (again) ❤️ 🐷
not to be a bummer or anything but lately I've noticed something kind of disheartening.
so, there are a good chunk of feeders on here who a) are thin and b) don't want to gain weight. maybe gaining would reignite an eating disorder, or maybe they're just not into it, doesn't matter.
as a result of this, there's... let's call it a "genre" of post I've been seeing more and more of lately. these posts usually go a little something like this:
it shouldn't be controversial for someone like me, who exercises regularly and naturally prefers to eat healthier foods, to say I'm not interested in gaining. I like my body just the way it is now. please stop treating me like I'm weird or selfish for maintaining my current lifestyle and eating habits.
now, there's nothing wrong with liking your body the way it is. I would even venture to say that it's not inherently fatphobic to be uncomfortable with the thought of yourself gaining weight, especially if that involves actively trying to do so. (and I might be wrong, but I don't think a negative kneejerk reaction to the possibility of unexpected changes happening to your own body is irrational or necessarily rooted in bigotry.)
but like...
y'all do know that exercising regularly and "eating healthy" don't magically guarantee someone will lose/not gain weight, right?
when I say feedist circles can be surprisingly hostile and exclusionary towards fat feeders, especially fat feeders who don't want to gain OR lose weight, this is just the tip of the iceberg. because when so many feedists equate "feeder" = either "slim and muscular" or "fat and a mutual gainer" it leads to a whole lot of entitled bullshit.
idk. I guess I'm just tired of every single conversation about fatness and weight gain being twisted to center thin people while simultaneously reducing fat people to "fat behaviors".
I have zero patience for people in this community who loudly offer their unsolicited opinions about physical features they personally find unattractive
